A pleasant surprise – clean, quiet, and great hospitality We were looking for a last-minute place to stay in Goderich during the long weekend, and everything seemed to be fully booked. At first, I was hesitant about staying in a motel, but we were lucky to get the last available room at Dunlop Motel—and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The owner was incredibly kind, even checking with a previous guest to confirm they wouldn't be arriving before offering the room to us. He and his family live on-site, which made it easy to reach them if needed. The room was clean, well-equipped, and perfect for a one-night stay. The beds were comfortable, and everything we needed was provided. The motel is located in a peaceful farm-like setting, surrounded by open land. There’s even a barbecue and seating area out front, which added to the charm. It was also very quiet at night—no outside noise at all. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would happily recommend Dunlop Motel to anyone looking for a simple, clean, and friendly place to stay in the area.
This motel is exceptionally clean and well appointed. The room was very spacious, with comfortable beds. The entire property is very open with a sheltered area with picnic tables and a barbecue. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Would recommend!
Our stay at the Dunlop was great! Owners are extremely nice people who were willing to stay up and accommodate a very late check in. Very helpful and attentive. Unfortunately there was a scheduled hydro outage on the last morning of our stay, and the owner went around to all rooms to give them jugs of water and make sure they were aware the day before. Immaculately kept lawns, property, and rooms. It is a bit off the path of shops and things to do, but if you have a car you're good. I'm sure we'll be back.
Very clean room and is a very well run 70's style motel with some upgrades done recently. I was impressed that our bed had a bed bug protector and all the linens were very clean with a really clean mattress. Will stay again here anytime.
Clean, quiet and friendly! Took a chance on this small roadside motel since we couldn’t camp at Point Farms. Such a nice owner! The room was lovely and huge and had a micro, fridge and very comfortable beds. Very well kept and clean. We would definitely stay again.
